Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the yeast mixture. Gradually add flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.
Make the Filling
- In a bowl, mix almond paste, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Assemble the Rolls
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the almond filling evenly over the dough. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 8 equal pieces. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Prepare the Glaze
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and almond extract until smooth.

- Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls and serve immediately.
