Ingredients
  

Burgers
  • 1 lb lean ground beef or turkey for a lighter option
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese softened
  • 2 medium jalapeños finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
Bite Assembly
  • 1 pkg mini burger buns or slider buns
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for brushing
  • 1 cup lettuce shredded, for serving
  • 1 cup tomato sliced, for serving
  • 1 cup pickles sliced, for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Burger Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties, about 1 inch in diameter.
Cook the Burger Bites
  1. Preheat the grill or stovetop skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned.
Assemble the Bites
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the cooked patties on the mini burger buns. Top each with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Brush the tops of the buns with olive oil and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are slightly toasted.
  5. Serve the cheeseburger bites with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles.
