Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter brown butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare Brown Butter
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
Combine Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, combine the brown butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Bake Cookies
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
