Prepare the Garlic Oil
- In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over low heat and add the sliced garlic. Cook until the garlic is golden and fragrant, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
Prepare the Tomato Topping
- In a mixing bowl, combine the halved cherry tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside.
Toast the Bread
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown.
Assemble the Bruschetta
- Remove the toasted bread from the oven and drizzle with the garlic oil. Top each slice with the tomato mixture.
