Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter browned
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup toffee bits

Method
 

Prepare the Brown Butter
  1. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring frequently until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma.
Mix Dry Ingredients
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Combine Wet Ingredients
  1. In another bowl, combine the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
  1. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the toffee bits.
Bake the Cookies
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
