Ingredients
  

Fish
  • 4 fillets Cod fillets About 6 ounces each
Blackening Spice Mix
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For drizzling
Lemon
  • 1 medium Lemon Cut into wedges for serving

Method
 

Prepare the Oven
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Make the Spice Mix
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
Season the Cod
  1. Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels. Rub each fillet with olive oil and then coat generously with the blackening spice mix.
Bake the Cod
  1. Place the seasoned cod fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Notes
