Slaw Base
  • 4 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup thinly sliced red onion
Dressing
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Toppings
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Slaw
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, carrots, and red onion.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, buttermilk, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
Combine
  1. Pour the dressing over the slaw mixture and toss until well coated.
Add Toppings
  1. Fold in the crumbled bacon and blue cheese, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
