  • 10 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 medium carrots, sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook rigatoni according to package instructions in salted water; drain and reserve half a cup of pasta water.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sauté cubed chicken seasoned with salt and black pepper until golden brown (about 5–7 minutes).
  3. Add sliced carrots to the skillet and sauté for 3–4 minutes, then stir in minced garlic for another minute.
  4. Reduce heat and melt butter in the skillet; add honey, soy sauce, and black pepper. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet and mix in cooked pasta, loosening with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions.
