Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in beef chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Gravy (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef chops in buttermilk (and hot sauce if desired) for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Remove each chop from the marinade and dredge it in the seasoned flour mixture.
  4. In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the chops for about 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
