  • 1 (20 ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 tablespoon fresh sage (chopped)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions in boiling water until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, prepare the mushrooms and sage.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter with olive oil. Add chopped sage and sauté until crispy, about 1 minute. Remove from pan.
  4. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic with another tablespoon of butter. Sauté until golden brown, approximately 5 minutes.
  5. Drain the tortellini and add it to the skillet with mushrooms along with remaining butter and parmesan cheese. Toss everything together, seasoning with salt and pepper before serving warm.
