  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 cup soft baking caramels (melted)
  • 1 medium green apple (chopped or thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup chopped gluten-free pretzels or nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • 1/4 cup melted chocolate for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Soak chopped apple pieces in 1 cup of water mixed with 2 tablespoons lemon juice for 5-10 minutes to prevent browning.
  2. Melt chocolate with coconut oil using a double boiler or microwave until smooth.
  3. Spread the melted chocolate onto a parchment-lined sheet pan in an even layer about 1/4 inch thick.
  4. Sprinkle crushed pretzels over the chocolate followed by diced apples and drizzle with melted caramel and additional melted chocolate.
  5. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours until set; optional—freeze for an extra 20 minutes for firmness.
  6. Break into pieces or cut into squares.
