  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract; mix well.
  4. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Chill dough for at least one hour.
  6. Prepare the filling by mixing brown sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon in a separate bowl.
  7. Roll out chilled dough and cut into rectangles.
  8. Assemble by placing filling on half of the rectangles; cover with another rectangle and seal edges.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  10. Cool and drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and milk.
