  • 2 cups granulated sugar

  • 3½ cups Granny Smith apples (peeled and finely chopped)
  • 1 cup pecans (finely chopped)
  • ¾ cups unsalted butter (1 ½ sticks)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together cooking oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Fold in the dry ingredients followed by the chopped apples and pecans.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For the caramel glaze, melt butter in a saucepan, stir in brown sugar and milk until bubbling, then remove from heat and add vanilla.
  7. Once the cake has cooled slightly, drizzle the glaze over it.
