  • 1 cup sugar (200 g)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (133 g)
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup chopped apples (100 g)
  • ½ cup toasted pecans (53 g)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toast pecans in a small pan until fragrant; set aside.
  3. Peel, core, and chop apples into small chunks.
  4. In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add egg and mix well.
  5. Mix in flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples and toasted pecans gently.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 8×8 baking dish and bake for 30-45 minutes until golden brown.
